This is a static portfolio site. It has no accounts, no forms and no comment fields, and it sets no cookies. One company sees every request on its way to you — Vercel, which serves the site and also counts it — and two pages embed a video player from elsewhere. All of it is listed here.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel logs the requests it answers — IP address, browser, requested page, time — to deliver the site and keep it secure. Those logs are Vercel's, held under its own privacy policy, and I do not use them for anything.

Analytics

Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, and how quickly pages render is measured by the same company's Speed Insights. Both are cookieless: nothing is stored on your device and neither follows you to another site. What they keep is aggregate — which pages were viewed, which site linked here, what kind of device and browser, roughly where in the world, and the loading measurements themselves.

Four things beyond a page view are counted, all of them about the site rather than about you: a click on a link leading off this site (the destination's domain, not the address), a video being played, reaching the end of a case study, and landing on a missing page (with whatever linked to it, so the link can be fixed). None of it is tied to a person, and none of it can be.

Vercel is a United States company, so this counting happens outside the EU under its own privacy policy. If your browser blocks scripts, none of it happens at all — and nothing on this page depends on it.

Embedded video

One case study embeds a video player: the CCI Graduate Showcase from Vimeo, with tracking switched off. It sets no cookie before you press play. Once you do, the video is served by Vimeo and its privacy policy applies to what it records.

Your browser

The Invert and Effects toggles in the corners remember your choice in your browser's local storage — two settings, never sent anywhere, gone when you clear site data. There is no other storage.

Contact

The only way to reach me is by email, at moritz@moritzsalla.com. If you write, I keep your message and address for as long as our correspondence needs them, to reply to you, and pass them to no one.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to my keeping it. Email is the way to do that. If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
