Bézier is a type foundry Indian Type Foundry launched in 2024, for fonts made for contemporary brands and interfaces. I developed it at Build in Amsterdam. A foundry’s site is its showroom, specimen book and shop at once, and each wants something different from the page.

The home page leads with rendered objects, each standing in for a typeface. Everywhere else, the type does the work.

The tester takes the whole screen. Type anything, pair a heading face with a body face, then set weight, size, slant, OpenType features, alignment, tracking and leading. The controls are grouped the way a typographer thinks rather than as a form, and the tester has its own phone layout. It sits on every family page.

Each family page runs from a poster-scale name through every style, each set in itself, to specimen lines that switch between sample text, style names and excerpts, or take your own. Posters, variable axes, the glyph set and suggested pairings follow.

The posters are generative. The foundry picks a face and a layout in the CMS, and the site sets the poster at any size, with opentype.js reading outlines straight from the font files. Families, collections and articles are all edited there, so a release goes out without a developer.
